Farm Shop & Tearoom
The Farm Shop & Tearoom is a five minute drive (or 30 minute walk) from our cottage rentals. The Kennels and Deer Park Cottage are 1.5 miles away and Tillyfruskie Cabin is 1.7 miles away.
The shop has a selection of gifts, grocery items and homemade food including ready meals and baked goods.
The Tearoom is open 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, hot and cold drinks as well as deli items and baked goods. Call us at 01330 850710 to reserve a table.
Things To Do
Walking
There are many tracks for the recreational and more determined walker in Finzean, through woodland or up hills, such as Tom’s Cairn with stunning views of the Dee and Feugh valleys. There are also a number of Munros (Scottish mountains over 3,000 ft) within easy reach of the Estate, with the panoramic views of Lochnagar being a particular highlight.
Pick up a takeaway picnic or pass by for a coffee in our Farm Shop.
Wildlife
Finzean has a diverse ecology supporting over 135 different species of birds, from the reclusive capercaillie to resplendent eagles and red kite. In summer, the peewit of the lapwing and piercing call of the oystercatcher fill the air. There is a thriving population of roe and red deer, pine martens, badgers and red squirrels.
Fishing
The Commonty Beat on the River Dee, managed by the Finzean and Ballogie Estates, is famous for salmon and sea trout fishing. There is good trout fishing on other parts of Finzean. To book a rod on the Commonty, please click here.
