Spring Update From The Farm

Jagger, the Aberdeen Angus bull enjoys a rare day of sunshine with one of his wives.

It’s fair to say it’s been a very challenging six months in the farming year as the wet weather continued unabated.

Having spoken to some of the older generation of farmers in the valley, they’ve never seen such a long continual spell as we’ve experienced. That said, the work continues and spring calving has gone well with our first batch of Aberdeen Angus calves born to our new bull we purchased last April.

We had a small weather window to get the spring barley sown, along with the grass seed, so all we need now is the sun and some heat!
