Finzean, Aberdeenshire

Finzean - the Fair Place. Fair in the beauty of its landscape with its valley pastures, its laboriously stone-cleared hill farms and the highland contours and trees of the upper reaches of the Feugh. Fair too in its people, both those families who have lived in the valley for generations, winning a sometimes precarious living from the soil, and those who have come more recently but have grown to love it just as deeply.
