Scottish Traditional Tales
Drawing on a variety of sources, including Hebridean Gaelic tradition and Lowland travelling folk, these tales have been selected from the corpus gathered by researchers from the School of Scottish Studies over the past fifty years. Some are well-known tales which have equivalents in other cultures and languages, whilst others are unique to Scotland. The tales are arranged by theme, such as tall tales, hero tales, legends of ghosts and evil spirits, tales of fate and religion, trickster tales, and more.
